At Carle
Wound Healing and Limb Preservation Center, we pride ourselves on our highly
educated staff,
evidence-based medicine
and practices, participation in research and patient satisfaction scores in the
98-100% range. Our efforts are being noticed. Below are awards, certifications
and recognition
given to the Wound Healing Center and staff.
HBO
Accreditation from the Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society (UHMS)
Hyperbaric Oxygen service passed full accreditation with the Undersea and
Hyperbaric Medical Society (UHMS). Carle Foundation Hospital is the first and
only accredited such facility in the State of Illinois.
Center of
Excellence
Carle Wound Healing
and Limb Preservation Center was
recognized as a
Center of Excellence by Comprehensive Healthcare Solution, Inc in 2007
Award for
Caring
In 2004, we
received an award from
Smith and Nephew that reads: “For helping patients regain their lives and
advancing technologies in wound care.”
Certified Wound Healing Specialists (CWS)
We are proud to have four
physicians and five nurses who have sat for and passed the examination to be
CWS.

Certified Hyperbaric Technologists (CHT)
Not only has our
technologist in Hyperbaric Oxygen (HBO) sat for and passed the CHT exam, but
four of our physicians have also sat for and passed the exam to better
educate themselves on HBO.

Certified Hyperbaric Registered Nurse (CHRN)
Two
of our nurses have sat for and passed the CHRN and are among only 450 RNs in
the world to achieve this certification.
Americas
Walk for Diabetes
In 2006, we volunteered
with the American Diabetes Association to raise money for this worthy
cause. We are proud to be part of the cure for one of the biggest diseases
that plague our patients.
We raised
$1,846 and came in 3rd
for the team who raised the most money for the walk site in Urbana.
